There are many mountains and hills around the Highlands but we picked one of our favourites, Stac Pollaidh. Great paths, great views! Do your research before attempting this hill as there is a steep pinnacled ridge. Even if you choose not to climb to the top we think you will agree that the Assynt area is stunning especially on a clear day where the views are simply stunning.
You can choose to go around the mountain without attempting the top and this would take approximately 1 hour depending on fitness. If you do choose to walk to the top allow approximately 3 hours although if its a clear day allow 4 as you will stop so often to enjoy the views.
Please note the car park is small and fills up quick.
